Let us start with the Joyful Mysteries. This signifies the time from the appearance of Gabriel to Mother Mary right till the event of Jesus being found in the temple. It is divided as follows into five heads:
The Annunciation: The angel Gabriel announces to Mother Mary the good news of the birth of Jesus in her womb.
The Visitation: Mother Mary pays a visit to her cousin Elizabeth who was also expecting. This child was then known as the forerunner of Jesus Christ, John the Baptist.
The Nativity: The birth of Jesus in a manger in Bethlehem.
The Presentation: The first entry of Jesus in the temple as a baby.
The Finding of Jesus: Jesus gets lost in the temple when he goes there with his parents for a feast. They then find Him there in the company of the priests and other elders of the temple.
