Praying on the Rosary

A very spiritual thing for all Christians, the Catholics especially is the Rosary. Praying on these beads is a very important thing for all in th clan. But how many know about this chain filled with beads and a picture of the cross hanging at the end? So here it is, a small gist on what it signifies.

The rosary consists of beads which are grouped in tens and there are total of five such groups. Each is called as a decade and each decade represents an event or mystery in the life of Jesus. So there are four sets of Mysteries that the Rosary represents under the head of Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious. These mysteries are then said on their specific days. The Apostle's Creed is said on the Crucifix; the Our Father is said on each of the Large Beads; the Hail Mary is said on each of the Small Beads; the Glory Be after the three Hail Mary's at the beginning of the Rosary, and after each decade of Small Beads.
